ChatGPT, Apple Intelligence, and Gemini are all closed source.
However, criticism inevitably arises, so I think this method is wrong.
It is safest if everything is open source.
That is why I think like this.
I believe that the development and safety of AI should be open, and that all companies should jointly develop it.
For example, Apple, Google, Microsoft, and OpenAI could join a team called “Team Intelligence”.
It may be difficult, but I hope that this will happen as soon as possible.
- Nothing to hide: All technology and systems will be made public.
- No data collection: All user conversation data will remain on the device. And after being sent to the server, no data will remain on the server.
- Unified server: Companies in the team will build a server together and lend it out for free.
- Crystallization of technology: All AI manufacturers will create one AI. Then, something that is very small but can handle ridiculously large amounts of information will be created.
- Anyone can participate: Individuals can also participate in the project. Of course, they can lend you not only source code but also servers. In the community, you can talk to Apple and others.
